Charles A. Baldassano, AIA, Founding Partner
Charlie is the founder and president of Baldassano Architecture and continues
to bring over 40 years of experience to the administration, design and
oversight of the practice. He is a seasoned architect with more than 3,500
commissioned projects in many different areas of design including commercial,
institutional and recreational. In 2006, Charlie received a Lifetime Achievement
Award from the American Institute of Architects. His altruistic endeavors include
fundraising efforts as committee chairman, member and advisor for the following
organizations: Federation of Organizations, Suffolk County Community College,
American Heart Association, Transitional Services of New York for Long Island
(TSLI), Association for the Help of Retarded Children, Victims Information Bureau
of Suffolk and the YMCA of Long Island.

Philip Monastero, AIA, Partner
With over 30 years of experience in all areas of architectural design (i.e. site
planning, building design, interiors, etc.) and as the partner in charge of design,
excellence comes naturally for Phil. He has worked and continues to work with major
Long Island developers on all types of projects from commercial to residential;
private to public. His client list is as diverse as the buildings he designs. Phil
has reached mastery on such buildings as Brandywine Realty Trust (Jericho, NY) that
won him an Archi Award. Many more of his contributions to the built community can be
spotted all over Long Island-Five Towns College, 100 and 102 Motor Parkway, Suffolk
County Civil Courts and Rose Caracappa Wellness Center are only a taste of his
accomplishments to date.

Alexander Badalamenti, AIA, Partner
Alex is responsible for firm management, leadership and quality assurance of projects.
With over 20 years experience in architectural design, his work can be seen across
Long Island, New York City and abroad. His design work is not limited to one area of
practice. For Alex, the integrity of the project supersedes its category. In addition
to his diverse catalogue, he has done amazing work with high-end private residences
in New York City, Long Island and New England. He enjoys working with complex architectural
structures that ultimately compliment their surroundings. As a resident of Long Island,
Alex is dedicated to its local community. He has a sincere interest in buildings of
historic significance and landmark status. Pair that with his boundless knowledge of
state-of-the-art building materials and systems and the outcome is purposeful designs
that keep these communities connected to their roots.

Thomas Cromer, Chief Financial Officer, Partner
Tom is responsible for the financial, IT, administrative and human resource areas of the firm.
With more than 25 years of extensive financial management experience in the consulting and
architectural services industry, his expertise has provided the firm the strength to expand
and position for future growth.

Charles (Chad) S. Baldassano, Associate, Designer, 3-D Modeling
Chad has been working with Baldassano Architecture for almost a decade in the area of 3-D modeling,
design and many other computer programs. He graduated from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island
and possesses an impressive knowledge of the latest technological advancements in the field. He is
proficient in Autodesk: Autocad desktop and 3-D Studio Viz; Adobe: Photoshop, Illustrator and
Premier (video editing); Microsoft PowerPoint which he uses to develop audio/visual presentations.

Michael Messina, AIA, Senior Associate
As Senior Associate at Baldassano Architecture, Michael Messina’s expertise in the
area of Project Management not only benefits the clients' projects, but also the
overall success of the firm. He is skilled in the administration and coordination
of project design, drawings, scheduling, monitoring, budgeting and staffing. Those
skills matched with his proactive and professional consulting practices yields an
outcome of satisfied clients and contractors. Michael’s work can be seen throughout
Long Island and part of New York City. One of many notable projects that Michael
has managed is the expansion of St. Anthony’s High School in South Huntington including
a new athletic field house, a performing arts theatre, several laboratories and a
brand new chapel.

Richard Labanowski, Senior Associate
As Senior Associate at Baldassano Architecture, Richard Labanowski uses his extensive
knowledge of building materials, systems and specifications, to serve as Senior Project
Manager on a variety of complex building projects. Richard has been a member of several
well-respected architectural design firms on Long Island and in New York City throughout
the course of his career. It is through this tenure and his knowledge of the entire
building process and consulting responsibilities that Richard is recognized as a leader
on our team.

Susan Hanley, Associate
As an associate at Baldassano Architecture, Sue brings over 25 years of professional
experience in the interior design industry. She is responsible for the coordination and
implementation of interior work for all projects. The diversity of her clients include
healthcare, corporate, financial, educational, municipal, industrial, hospitality and
residential. Sue’s design talents are innovative and her ability to understand clients’
needs is unmatchable; it is through this understanding of people that her work is both
functional and aesthetic.

Stephen Bonitch, Project Architect
His work with previous firms in the architectural design field has given Stephen Bonitch the
ability to diversify his talents to meet the needs of every project. Stephen understands the
importance of accommodating the ongoing changes and advancements in the industry. It is this
talent that has the team calling on Stephen to work many different types of projects at
Baldassano Architecture.

Brian Franco, Project Architect
Brian has been part of the Baldassano Architecture team for over 5 years. His roster includes
high-end telecom, higher education, health care, industrial and recreational facilities. In
addition to his project architect responsibilities, Brian takes on the roles of CAD Technical
Coordinator and 3D Modeler.

Timothy Ganetis, Designer
As designer at Baldassano Architecture, Timothy Ganetis works on projects that vary in scale
and complexity. His acute knowledge of current design trends and historical precedents contribute
to the creation of new buildings that respect the architectural heritage of the area. His craft
is both technical and aesthetic.

Tiing Hie Lau, Designer
As designer at Baldassano Architecture, Tiing Hie Lau is responsible for the design and contract
documentation of commercial projects. He brings strong graphic presentation and technical skills
to the firm and is a team player when meeting deadlines assuring the firm’s on-time and on-budget
philosophy.

Pamela Mazzola, Interior Designer
Pam comes to Baldassano Architecture with a degree in Fine Arts from the Fashion Institute
of Technology in New York City. She got her start six years ago as Interior Designer for a
large firm in New York City. Recently, Pam joined the team at Baldassano Architecture where
she works on projects both large and small for many diverse clients, within many categories.
Besides the quality of her craft, Pam has successfully formed working relationships with both
the clients and the design team which fosters successful outcomes on her projects.

Jason Merkel
Jason Merkel comes to Baldassano Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology (Boston, MA)
where he received the esteemed Design Excellence Award for his collective school projects.
During his stint in Boston he worked at LaFreniere Architects gaining experience in both
residential and commercial architecture. As designer at Baldassano Architecture, Jason contributes
in the preliminary design and presentation stages on most projects.

Sean Reed, Project Architect
Sean has been working in the architectural field for over eight years. His diverse work includes
the design of many types of buildings (commercial, residential, industrial and educational). He
has experience working with landmark designated buildings, project management for high-end
residential structures and has been entered in several design competitions including the High
Line Redesign Competition.

Bryan Richter, Associate Lead Designer
With over 12 years experience as a designer, Bryan brings a multitude of design expertise to the table.
His talents range from small scale residential to large scale commercial designs.

Joseph Solloch, Project Architect
Joseph is a graduate of New York Institute of Technology in Westbury, NY and has been practicing
professionally for almost 15 years the Architectural and Automation Industry. For Baldassano
Architecture, Joseph is responsible for design and construction administration on commercial,
industrial and residential projects.
